Good Earth Organic Farm is adding a second workshop on Saturdays for our food preservation workshops. Each Saturday we will focus on a specific process and teach you how to preserve your fruits and vegetables for use throughout the year. We have had great success with our Tomatillo Salsa workshops and this week we are moving into pickling. Many people remember their grandmothers pickling and canning but never learned the process. Others are just interested in learning something they have heard about but never seen done. Whichever side you fall on our workshops are all hands on and you go home with all the knowledge you need to begin preserving your fresh food. Workshops are offered at two times, 9am- 12pm or 2 pm - 5 pm. The cost of the workshop is $35 which includes all your supplies and you will go home with three jars you made in the workshop. Complimentary refreshments are offered for both workshops from 12 pm - 1:30 pm. Bring an apron if you choose (or we have some for sale here) and be ready to learn a great process for preserving your fresh vegetables and fruit.
The farm is located in Celeste and also has a farm store so you can pick up all your fresh produce, meat and eggs while you are out.
