Burgers for brunch? Why not. Who other than Texans would invent such a genius idea? Dallas foodies now have even more incentive to experience Sundown at Granada, a Lower Greenville neighborhood beer garden and restaurant located adjacent to the theater, is proud to bring farm to table food, over 60 beers and the largest patio on Lower Greenville. It is the brainchild of Mike Schoder, Owner & Operator of the historic Granada Theater. Chisholm Trail Grass-fed Beef collaborated with Sundown to provide its healthier, even tastier, grass-fed red meats at their opening in January and is now back for seconds, offering their Longhorn beef to brunch-goers.

Sundown is a chic establishment strategically located next to the historic live music venue Granada Theater. The beer garden and restaurant, which is turning one-year-old this January, introduced its new brunch menu at the beginning of this month featuring a specialty item - the Double Man-itoba burger. The mouth-watering, gourmet burger has two grass-fed Chisholm Trail beef patties topped with BBQ brisket, pecan-smoked bacon and sharp cheddar cheese. Although this beast has two times the meat of a regular Man-itoba burger, the grass-fed beef patties make it healthier than a traditional burger.

"My goal with the new brunch menu was to step outside of the norm and offer an assortment of cuisines catering to each and every one of our customers, including the Double Man-itoba burger made with Chisholm Trail's fine grass-fed beef," said Patrick Stark, executive chef, Sundown at Granada. "Customers have shared rave reviews about the amazing taste of the regular Man-itoba burger, so I feel confident the Double Man-itoba burger will be a hot commodity among both our meat-loving and health-conscious customers."

Chisholm Trail premium, grass-fed meat allows brunch-goers to indulge in a juicy burger while simultaneously receiving nutritional value. At only 140 calories per 3.6-ounce serving, 3.7 grams of fat and 81.5 milligrams of cholesterol, Chisholm Trail's all natural beef has less calories, fat and cholesterol than almost any other meat or poultry available. Additionally, the beef is packed with nutrients that include high levels of Omega-3 and is a much leaner and healthier alternative to turkey and chicken as well.

"We are thrilled to add yet another grass-fed beef item to Sundown's menu and continue sharing our local ingredients with the Lower Greenville community. We strive to offer the absolute best beef to our customers, in terms of both health and taste. While the majority of cattle are filled with growth hormones and bred in stressful environments, Chisholm Trail Grass-fed Beef takes pride knowing our cattle are pasture raised with no added hormones or antibiotics," said Mike Crawford, Chisholm Trail Grass-fed Beef partner. "Our healthy alternative to red meat will make the new Double Man-itoba burger a big hit at Sundown, providing brunch customers with a local, savory taste of Texas."

Open for brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., customers can visit Sundown and try the new Double Man-itoba burger. Chisholm Trail Grass-fed Beef is also available at Opa! Grill and other restaurants throughout Texas such as Austin's Chez Zee, The University of Texas' Executive Chef and the club restaurant at the Four Seasons Resort and Club in Las Colinas. For home cooking, Chisholm Trail Grass-fed Beef is available for purchase at Natural Health Shop, Hirsch's Specialty Meats, Better Health Market, Ye Ole Butcher Shop and My Rancher Country Market locations.
