EarthxSustainableU will host a highly interactive morning addressing urban agriculture and food security, focusing on local urban agriculture producers, urban agriculture resources and education, as well as community-based organizations improving healthy food access. The format will include several five-minute lightning talks, which will be followed by roundtable discussions with the featured experts.
“EarthxSustainableU is teaching practical solutions and ideas that everyone can consider and implement,” said Georgeann Moss, Executive Administrator, Sustainability Outreach & Initiatives for DCCCD. “DCCCD houses a trove of students, teachers, community leaders, influencers, and activists who we want to first teach about sustainability, and secondly inspire to action.”
This is the second in a series of EarthxSustainableU learning events presented by EarthX in partnership with the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) aiming to broaden understanding of key environmental issues. The first, which addressed Mobility Issues, was hosted at Cedar Valley College in October.
