White Rock Local Market’s 2013 Summer Workshop Series wraps up July 20 (11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) with “In Heaven There is No Beer” Home Brewing 101.

Learn the basics of brewing from some of the best brewers in Texas. Ty Wolosin and Kevin Sykes. brewers for Whip In and Namaste Brewing in Austin, along with Craig Bradley of Lakewood Brewing Company, demonstrate a partial or mini-mash technique easily done at home.

Lunch is provided by Luscher’s Post Oak Red Hots with Lakewood Brewing Co. presenting tastes of different brews, discussing flavors, types and techniques. Students go home with samples, great instructions, and some basic brew supplies.  Cost is $75 per person and $50 for WRLM Members.

Proceeds from the series benefit programs offered by White Rock Local Market including Love Your Farmer volunteer days, cooking demos, Sprouting Health Kids - a hands-on gardening and nutrition after school program, SNAP/Lone Star food stamp program and White Rock Local Garden.
