Local Yocal, the farm to market store in McKinney and Rehoboth Ranch in Greenville both have pastured turkeys available for Thanksgiving.

Local Yocal will have fresh, never-frozen, pasture-raised turkeys from Richardson Farm and Rehoboth is still accepting orders for its Broad Breasted Whites.  Rehoboth owner Robert Hutchins says that he has sold out of Bourbon Reds. All Rehoboth turkeys are raised on organic pastures and fed a grain ration of non–GMO grains raised organically.

Local Yocal's turkeys will arrive at the store on Nov. 19. Local Yocal is taking $25 deposits to reserve a turkey (there are only 50 coming).  The price of the turkeys is $5.50 per pound. Your deposit will be credited toward the total price. Turkeys will be first come first served on size.

Orders for a Broad Breasted White turkey from Rehoboth may be placed at any the ranch's  farmers market locations – Dallas, Coppell, or McKinney Chestnut Square--er email Rehoboth Ranch for instructions for ordering by mail.
 
Local Yocal also has Honey Glazed All Natural (hormone/ antibiotic/ nitrate-free) spiral cut hams for Thanksgiving. There is no deposit needed to reserve a ham, but contact Local Yocal directly to be put on the list.

The availability of pasture-raised hams is still questionable, according to Matt Hamilton, owner of Local Yocal. "As soon as we know if we will have them or not, we will send out a notice.  We will need to take deposits on pasture raised hams, as the quantity will be very limited.
