Harold’s “Texican Gormay Pickuls” 2x and 4x are among the new additions at McKinney’s Local Yocal farm to market store. These phonetically spelled, spicy dill pickles are made by Dallas’ Conscious Choice Foods. Harold’s 2x won a Golden Chile for the Best New Product at the 2011 Fiery Food Challenge in Irving in January. The store also carries Conscious Choice’s Frances Cowly Dill Pickles.

Local Yocal Owners Matt and Heather Hamilton report they are also in the process of adding a line of heritage meats to their butcher case from their new partners at Sloans Creek and should have Sloans Red Wattle pork available shortly.

Other recent additions are breads from the Village Baking Company, an artisan Dallas bakery that makes all-natural, hand crafted bread, and  farm fresh eggs from Gleason Super Chicks.  Each dozen contains an assortment of eggs from a variety of breeds including Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Welsummers and Golden Campines.
