Earth, Wind and Fire Energy Summit II Carries the Torch

The second Earth, Wind, & Fire Summit energy conference in the state of Texas will take place October 22 and 23 at the Addison Conference Center to provide attendees with a global view of America’s energy portfolio and also a focus on the state of energy in Texas with an eye toward the future. The conference will cover all aspects of energy from traditional sources such as coal, nuclear, oil and natural gas to renewables and emerging, cutting-edge technologies.

From practical information for homeowners regarding the latest offerings in residential solar to examining the environmental and human impacts associated with energy production, this conference has broad audience appeal with a diverse range of topics.

Sponsored by the Dallas Sierra Club and other conservation organizations, the conference is designed for individuals, students and elected officials that want the opportunity to learn about a wide array of energy issues; associated issues, impacts and challenges. The mission is to answer some of today’s pressing questions raised by the public and the media surrounding energy issues, emerging technologies and the environment.

Speakers include Dr Bryan Stump, who recently studied DFW earthquates in relation to fracking and injection; Dr. Katherin Hayhoe, internationally known climate speaker; Mark Jacobson, director of the Stanford University atmosphere energy program; Dr. Anne Epstein, a medical expert who has documented studies related to health effects of fracking; and many more well-known academics, policymakers and professional representatives from associations that focus on energy issues.
