African Children’s Choir to Perform in Dallas

The African Children’s Choir wraps up their year-long tour of the U.S. entertaining and enchanting audiences across the country with a special performance from at the Bush Presidential Center on December 13. The evening will also feature clips from Imba Means Sing, a documentary film chronicling the journey of former choir members and spreading the message of dignity and hope. Producer Erin Bernhardt will be in attendance. Tickets include after-hours entry to new special exhibit, A Season of Merriment and Museum.

Thirty years ago, Ray Barnett was on a humanitarian trip to war-torn Uganda when he gave a small boy a ride from his decimated home to the safety of another village. His simple song became the catalyst for a program that has changed the lives of thousands of children and reshaped the future of the African continent. The choir raises funds that provide housing and education to Ugandan children.
