Celebrate Being Green in Arlington

A Daylong Ecofest in Arlington for the Whole Family

Ecofest Arlington, a free, family-oriented event designed to help build a sense of community, stimulate environmental awareness and promote stewardship across North Texas, will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., September 20, at Founders Plaza and Levitt Pavilion, in Arlington.

 Local businesses will showcase their green products and practical do-it-yourself solutions for home improvement and maintenance and exhibitors will line up on the festival streets surrounding Founder’s Plaza. The day will be filled with entertainment by local musicians performing at the Levitt Pavilion, including Avis Balliet, Julie Hazzard, Chris Acosta, Spoonfed Tribe and the Killdares.

There will be classes on do-it-yourself projects to reduce consumption of natural resources and discussions about environmental issues. Demonstrations will be given throughout the day by vendors and representatives of the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, along with fun, games bounce houses, a climbing Wall, face painting, petting zoo and Critterman.
