The 2016 Generational Equity Jingle Bell Run through the Dallas Design District will take place on December 21 at the Hilton Anatole, sponsored by the Trinity Strand Trail, the Mavs Foundation and Luke's Locker. In addition to raising funds for development and construction of the Trinity Strand Trail, this event is also a way to promote a healthy lifestyle to children and adults.
Race day begins at 6:30 p.m. For those that enjoy a slower pace, there is a one-mile fun run, as well as a 5K race at 7 p.m. The after race party that follows has been called one of the best post-race activities in North Texas. Packets can be picked up from December 17 to 20 at Luke’s Locker. Registration allows entrance at the Anatole Hotel to enjoy food, beverage, the Dallas Mavs Cheerleaders and local bands. The Trinity Strand Trail/Katy Trail Connection will link 3.5 miles of Katy Trail with almost eight miles of Trinity Strand Trail.
