National Drive Electric Week will be observed locally from 10 a.m. to noon, September 9, at the Grapevine Mills Mall with an attempt to break the record again for that most electric (EV) vehicles in attendance. There are already 277 registered. Following the event, the Tesla Owners Club of North Texas will convene at Uncle Buck's Brewery to hang out and talk EVs.

Educational webinars will be available all week: September 11: Introduction to EVs; September 12: Workplace Charging; September 13: Impacting the Electric Grid, Utility Considerations; September 14: Clean Communities, EVs and Municipalities; and September 15: How to Sell an EV.

Presented by Plug In America, Sierra Club and the Electric Auto Association, National Drive Electric Week, from  September 9 through 17, is intended to heighten awareness of the widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles and more.
