The Sierra Club is leading a tent campout adventure for all ages and abilities from April 26 through 28 at Colorado Bend State Park (CBSP), a four-hour drive through the hill country from Dallas to Colorado Bend, west of Lampassas.

Participants should bring a tent, camp chair, hiking shoes, bike, kayak, guitar, telescope or croquet set, because this park is great for adventure or just relaxing. Highlights include Gorman Falls and Spicewood Springs.

The park has miles of trails for beginner and veteran backpackers to test backpack, boots, legs and other gear for the upcoming hiking season. Another unique activity at CBSP is caving.  No RVs or pets are allowed.
